The Sporting Globe Ballarat

Walking distance from our accommodation with bad weather this was a plus.Great choice of food and very reasonably priced,there are 3 levels to chose from and plenty of screens to watch

Very Average experience! The Welcome and seating was very warm and inviting! And that was the highlight! I’m a sporting globe member and have dined in many venues, In fact I’ve dined over 100 times, so I know the routine, I’ve had the sporting globe experience. What I’ve ever seen! Is Attitude (from John) regarding my request on ordering the all star platter, disappointing being told: NO WAY can I exchange the 6 signature wings for the extra buffalo wings, your venue is the only venue I’ve ever heard knock back that simple request!, then the buffalo Parma was dry! Was billed for kids waffle fries, I never ordered, then didn’t get items that were ordered! To top it off, we came to watch the hawks v giants game and our empty plates sat on the table the whole time we were there. Even though there were sometimes 5 people behind the bar doing nothing but talking to each other. Not like the place was busy either! I don’t want anything! And I don’t care much for your restaurant, I’ll never be back, but shame on you Ballarat for damaging the sporting globe name!!

We stopped here for lunch and drinks when we couldn’t score a ticket to an AFL game. Downstairs is primarily booths and bar area with private TV screens. The main sports bar however is upstairs. Out on the sheltered and heated balcony with small screen at either end or inside with huge viewing screens at either end of bar again. There is no shortage of choice for viewing. There is a substantial menu available including salt and pepper calamari which was beautiful and the nachos which we were not so crazy on. Highly recommend if sports viewing on the big screen is your thing.

Great service , great food and drinks, we have been visiting Ballarat for 2 days and have been to the sporting globe each night, the staff are all happy and so helpful it shows a happy work place good leadership, we would recommend this venue to everyone well done team great job complaints to the chief food was fantastic

We held our wedding reception at the Sporting Globe on Saturday 24th March, i can honestly say that i was so impressed with the whole experience. From the first contact with Kylie the functions manager i felt completely comfortable that we were in good hands, every time i emailed, called in or contacted in any way my questions were answered or followed up straight away. On the night bar staff were great, food was great and every guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank-you for making our wedding so memorable. From Darren Dave
