The Tin Plate Cafe - Ballan

I liked it. It was a really cold day when we visited and this place was a bit of an oasis as it has inside seating. Can't say it was cheap as it wasn't. Quite nice surroundings although a little tidy up wouldn't hurt. The chicken salad I had was great. The Greek salad my brother had looked good too and he said it was good. Cake selection only fair. The serve alcohol too if this floats your boat. Parking outside. Friendly staff. Service was good

Beautiful, more expensive than some of the cafes we have eaten at, but this food was all cooked fresh and locally sourced. Staff were delightful.

The coffee is one of the best around! Haven’t tried any food yet. Will try next time when passing Ballan.

Food and staff are both 5 stars, and happy to accommodate any abilities or dietary requirements. Clean and cosy cafe, great on a summer's day on a cold and miserable one. Not to be missed.
