Ciderhuset - Balestrand

We enjoyed the best dinner and culinary experience in Norway at Ciderhuset. The location is excellent, the service is warm and attentive, and the food and cedar pairing was perfection. We were actually served by one of the owners who took his time to tell us about the family business and each of the dishes and cedars. This experience made for one of the best memories during our trip. It is definitely worth it for everyone in the area. I also recommend your time walking in the nearby neighborhood that has beautiful traditional houses. We want to have bought some bottles to come back with us!

I had a great time while I was at Ciderhuset! Family business of lemons and juices since 1922. The hosts are more than welcoming and the view from the house is mesmerizing! Very recommended for groups and events.

We had a nice time in Balestrand, which was only made better by our visit to Cider House. We spent about 30 minutes over the apple and the process, followed by a delicious tasting of cedars and snacks from the owner himself. This is a must in Balestrand!

We are only available for drinks, a 15-minute walk from Balastrand city centre. Follow the sign. It is a beautiful place, with very warm and friendly service. The drinks (cider and alcohol-free) were really great. Prices are even higher for Norwegian standards than the average. Try to get a table on the first floor on the balcony, great views over the fjord. The food is very well closed, but we haven't eaten there.

Great taste and wonderful views. We were a day early to try the food but the flight was good. Gave us a variety of taste. Very unique. Good atmosphere. We were a day early to be able to try dinner. They don’t start serving dinner until June 20. Wish we had the chance. It looked promising.
