Shang Yan Chinese Express

I want to update my review. I love hot and sour soup and this is the best! Today I ordered a bowl from a highly rated North Dallas Chinese restaurant, with many compliments on their soup, and there was no comparison. Shang Yan definitely has superior flavor and variety of ingredients.

Good portion size. Everything was flavorful, not salty or greasy, if you let the rice soak up the kung pao sauce it has a good kick to it. The hot and sour soup has a hearty amount of tofu and egg in it. The kung pao shrimp came with what I thought was too much celery. There was plenty of shrimp, but I would have been happier with a smaller portion if it meant a better celery to everything else ratio.

Quick, easy, and cheap. This place made for a nice easy lunch on my break. I got hot and sour soup and vegetable fried rice. It was very tasty.

I've been coming here for a long time noodles are always fresh and not many places compare to the quality! Highly recommend
