Mamma Mia Italian - Bakersfield

The service was great. My Server, Luis was such a nice person and he seems to really enjoy his job. That being said, my experience at Mamma Mia Restaurant was good, but not great.The Pasta with butter garlic sauce was to die for. I ate it then sopped up the butter with my bread. I could have made a whole meal of just the pasta and bread.My steak was cooked to perfection. I asked for an extra rare steak and that is exactly what I got. The problem I had was that the steak was extremely tough. I have had beef jerky that was more tender.There was a world of flavor at Mamma Mia's, but my jaw still aches from the chewing.Do I recommend Mamma Mia's, YES. Will I go there again, YES. I just will not order the steak. Be prepared to pay for your meal. They are expensive.Try to get Luis as your server if you go. He is great.

We ate here for the first time shortly before we moved out of state. It was incredible, and had us thinking about it still from across the country. We visited town a few weeks ago and stopped by for dinner. It did not disappoint. The food is cooked with such care and attention, you can taste it. The employees are very friendly, helpful and attentive. My mouth waters just thinking about the food. The steaks are cooked to perfection, nice and tenderized. The scallops are tender and fresh every time. And most recently, we tried the halibut, which was a special that day. It was flaky and delicious. I definitely recommend Mamma Mia to anyone who is interested.

Horrible experience. Reserved a booth but then given a table with chairs. When I informed the waiter about our reservations, he gave us an attitude. It just went downhill from there. Didn’t receive our appetizers. Drinks were not refreshed. When we waited a while for the check, we asked an older female waitress. She replied, “It’ll come to your table.” Then rolls her eyes and throws her hands in the air. Don’t think I’m going to be back. Going to stick to Luigi’s. Better prices, better food, and most importantly better service.

One of the best authentic Italian restaurants in Bfield, on par with some of the popular Italian restaurants in Vegas!! Luis is an amazing table technician. Very proud that the owner is Hispanic!! My service sucked, but it was Saturday night, what do you expect.Food: 5/5

Review overdue.I have visited Mamma Mia with family and friends multiple time and they have delivery excellent experience each time.My wife really likes the bocconcini appetizer, the filet and the saltimbocca chicken.I specially love their fish selection it’s always fresh to taste and cook perfectly, I also like their rib eye steak and their wine recommendation always on point, thank you for always taking good care of us.Parking: Parking is little tricky because of the downtown area and you have to find parking on the street, I'm sure people familiar with the area should have any problem.
