We ask for no sour cream on the baked potato, and it came extra loaded with sour cream that made my husband sick

This place's food was not good. I got a 2 meat plate and added 2 spare ribs. I chose pulled pork and tri tip for my meats, then sides were macaroni salad and mashed potatoes... at least the ladies up front were nice to me.The ribs and tri tip were just OK. It's not good or bad.The pulled pork was probably my favorite part. That pork was legit good food.The sides were kind of bad, though. The macaroni salad was just undercooked spiral pasta tossed in what seemed like creamy Caesar dressing. The mashed potatoes and gravy were exactly that. I don't think they put anything in the mashies except potatoes. They were drier than a spoonful of sand in the desert. I didn't taste butter, cream, or even any salt at all. The gravy was an afterthought, lightly coating the top of my foam cup.Pickings in this area were slim, so I guess I understand why this place has been around so long. Then again, maybe they just had the B team working the kitchen today. I can't be sure. If you made those sides and you read this... do better

I'm not sure about bbq in California. I'm from Memphis where bbq is done rite. Yesterday I had the nachos, which was ok and today I had 1/3 rack of ribs, with slaw and mashed potatoes. I couldn't eat the slaw, it tasted like plain raw cabbage. The potatoes were good, the ribs were smoked lightly. They had a smoke ring but no smoke flavor. Usually my biggest complaint about ribs is they are over cooked and mushy. That isn't the case here. They are undercooked and are like Jerky. The people are nice. I will come back and try the burger tomorrow.

The food is a little bit hard to save. Fix but good service. Overall, a lettuce was brown, and no one seemed to know where my drink was at.

They messed up my husband's order. He asked for mashed potatoes and gravy and he got potato salad. Other than that they are fantastic I love.
