Benjis - Bakersfield

I was unsure about trying this restaurant at first, but my friends recommended it as a delicious place to eat. When I first walked in, I was warmly greeted by the staff.

Our SAR team had our Christmas party tonight at Woolgrowers, a restaurant we haven't visited in years. It was an enjoyable evening and a nice change from our usual trips to Basque restaurants.

The restaurant has excellent food and a great bar with friendly staff. Make sure to bring your appetite as the portions are generous. If there's ever a wait for a table, you can enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait.

I was first at Benji's a year ago. It was my first Basque restaurant. Now I've been to most of the others. Dinner last night did not compare to my memory. Fried chicken was dried out and so tough I couldn't eat it. Service seemed a little off. I'd recommend Woolgrowers over Benji's.
