The Main Hotel - Bairnsdale

I went to lunch with my husband and his friend at this restaurant. I ordered the prawn spaghetti, the portion was large but it was absolutely delicious. It had just a touch of chili, lots of prawns, and a really tasty sauce. My husband had the fish and chips, he said the fish was perfectly cooked and he loved the real chips (not the thin ones). His friend had the chicken parmigiana and also enjoyed his meal. We all shared a garlic and cheesy bread. I would definitely recommend this place, the food is worth the visit.

I decided to give this hotel a try after learning that it was under new management. I was pleasantly surprised to see a vast improvement from my last visit. The premises were well-lit, clean, and had a fresh smell. The staff were friendly, attentive, and even created some delicious non-alcoholic mocktails for us. The food was excellent, with generous portions that were cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

We heard this Hotel had changed owners so we thought we would check it out. It was clean, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly and the food was fantastic.

Great food, good size portions. Good selection of meals. Staff were absolutely busy Mother’s Day), but provided a good service. Cost of meals and drinks were average. Will be back

My dining partner and I tried the pork belly rissoles and panko-crusted beef schnitzel, both of which were delicious. I requested a few modifications to my dish, and the chef was accommodating. The portions were generous and the service was good. The new owners are still adjusting to their role, but have introduced a different menu. The interior was clean and tidy, a noticeable improvement from the previous owners. We will definitely be returning in the future.
