Cafe Vieille France - Baie-Comeau

Everything is perfect... The welcome, the calm atmosphere, the food, the service, the prices... I love it!

I went for the first time with my family last week and we greatly enjoyed it. Delicious food and a friendly atmosphere.

This restaurant with its French proprietors but Quebec slant is a cozy little spot on a charming river. The husband/wife team seems to be the only staff with him having domain in the kitchen and her running the front end. They are incredibly efficient. The menu features few but diverse choices along with daily features. Plates are prepared with great attention to detail – both visual appeal and taste. On each of our visits including the most recent, each member of our party has ordered something different and has been quite delighted. Food quality and service are both reflective of a much higher end restaurant. They no longer maintain a wine list so be sure to bring your own – no corkage fees. It delightful to find such a classic and fine restaurant in a small city.

You should not rely on the exterior look to get an idea of the quality of the kitchen. French cuisine of very good quality. very good reception. Bring your wine!
