Rose Cabin - Badulla

Very nice people and I loved the beef tacos, excellent meat dressing with onions. I sat on the balcony, it is not such a beautiful view and a little loud on the street, but the food is worth it! It is a Sri Lankan lady who cooks the food and she learned how to prepare Mexican dishes from another cook:

This place is only open a month with a dedicated owner who takes care of his guests as much as his food. We had beautiful homemade tacos. The guacamole was delicious. On the ground floor there is another place for Sri Lanka's buffet. Prices were ok for non-local foods.

The Mexican food was delicious and the place clean and quiet, the staff is friendly, but the only problem was that it took a while to bring the food, the place was not full, the fruit juices were also delicious, especially the mango

Authentic. Cheap. Taste Amazing. I found this gold mine when I went down Ella-Passara street. Simply amazing authentic Sri Lanka food for only 350LKR. Where any other place you charge 600LKR. Just perfect.

We saw the board of this cute Mexican restaurant and after much contemplation entered it. We had been missing good Mexican food for a while and to find it in Ella of all place was naturall a big surprise. We are both vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed all what we ate across our two visits to Rose Cabin. The Vegetarian Nachos and Tacos were our favourites purely homemade, organic and sheer burst of taste in your mouth. Awesome experience!!!
