McCurdy's Dining Room - Baddeck

We stayed at the Silver Dart Lodge for the night and were planning to dine at a popular seafood restaurant nearby for dinner. However, the wait time was too long (45-60 minutes to be seated), so we decided to eat at this restaurant instead. While the food options and quality were average, the exceptional and friendly service from our server, Bev, made the dining experience truly memorable.

Our group enjoyed our reasonably priced meals at this restaurant with a beautiful water view. Highland Toss, which was with a what they called Thai sauce, was a delicious stir fry with rice. Other meals our group enjoyed were the Seafood Fettuccine and the burgers. They didn’t have beer on tap, but had a nice selection of Nova Scotia beers in cans. Waiter PJ was great and the food came quickly. I would recommend this restaurant.

Classic breakfast for a good price. My family was pleased about the portion sizes and every component of our breakfasts was properly executed. Staff was friendly. There was a mix up on my order, but they fixed it right away and gave us a discount on our meal.

We ate there while staying at the lodge. We made a reservation when we arrived so we were close to a window but not at a window. The view on the lake was still beautiful. We ate beet salad, fish cakes, pork wrapped in bacon, maple bread pudding. we drank a local red wine. All the food was good and the waiter was pleasant.

Great view, food excellent, service professional and friendly. far and away the best restaurant in town.
