Flora's Dining Room - Baddeck

Limited menu which the food arrived cold. New wait staff not properly oriented to the job. Cook should be embarassed to serve the meals we received. For a resort to have this as their only option to eat does not speak well to it caring about their guests experience.

We went to the pub when the restuarant was closed. the young lady who served was personal and pleasant, and the musical entertainment was very diverse and fun. but eating was disappointing. I had the scallops that were over boiled and dry, the spagetti was greasy and tasteless. the fish and chips of my friend were also cooked and very salty. the local beer was very good. I would recommend this place for a drink and entertainment, but do not go there for good food.

We paid for our drinks and left a tip for our server, as we felt she had not been properly trained and could not be held accountable for her lack of experience. We left feeling uncertain about the future of this place. Despite having read numerous reviews beforehand, we decided to give it a try anyway... What a mistake!

The Thistledown Pub in the Inverary Inn in Baddeck is no longer operating, as it was destroyed by a fire last year and has not been rebuilt.

This restaurant was quite disappointing. The fish and chips were subpar, and the chicken sandwich was even worse. The menu lacked variety and was quite limited. If you're gluten-free, your choices are basically wings or a chicken sandwich without the bun. Where is the fresh seafood? The chef should be embarrassed to serve the low-quality food they prepare here. I recommend saving your time and heading to the McDonald's 50 km away; their Filet-O-Fish is better than anything you'll find at this place. On a positive note, the live music was enjoyable.
