Los Arcos De Sol - Ayutla

Nasty Server. I ordered local coffee Olla and was served black immediately coffee!! I asked this thinking communication problem nicely and I was told that I was wrong that it had chocolate and cinnamon. It clearly hasn't and both servers suddenly understood nothing I said. Rude and unnecessary. Do not go if this is how they treat visitors

Stop at the restaurant Los Arcos de sol in a 200-hundred-year-old building to enjoy a light lunch and a few icey cold adult drinks. It has a small inner dining area, but a beautiful veranda overlooking the towns of Cobblestone Square, San Sebastian Church and the town hall just 50 meters away. They serve typical Mexican dishes, healthy and easy, the staff are friendly and speak a little English because the restaurant was not on the Puerto Vallarta Tour Guides list of dinning places, it was not crowded and cheap. (Who wants to come to the mountains to eat Italian food). We spend some time relaxing on the veranda, enjoying the clean mountain air and watching the tourist groups come and go. To be honest I really liked the authentic Mexican food but throughout the meal we were irritated by flies! Why don’t they get some deterrents like candles or the like.

The day we arrived to San Sebastián del Oeste first we found a hotel. Then we walked around town. For supper we decided to go to Los Arcos del Sol it is right across from the plaza and one could see customers eating on the outdoor area, We took a table outside. My husband had a Arrachera Stew -beef-and I had a Chile relleno . We truly enjoyed our dishes. The server is s lovely young lady very well mannered and polite. My only compliant was the people on the table next to us. There were 2 smokers, Americans and I absolutely hate tobacco smell. We do not smoke and I am particularly sensitive. I was very close to ask them to please turn them off but it stopped. We also had lunch there next day. Again a very nice meal we truly enjoyed.

Ciertamente no es un restaurante de lujo, como los que uno pudiera encontrar en las grandes urbes, pero considerando el entorno de San Sebastián del Oeste, es un restaurante de excelente calidad. Los platillos son tradicionales antojitos mexicanos, son preparados con alimentos frescos, el sazón es muy sabroso y el precio muy accesible.
