Having been directed to this restaurant by Mariangela and Carlo from their B&B Da Mariangela Vecchio Mulino, we were overwhelmed with the pleasant family atmosphere and wonderful food. All local and seasonal selections. Many local people coming in so we knew it was a good place to be. We felt welcome and well cared for. The food was wonderful. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We ate several meals here and enjoyed the food, service and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This is a favorite of locals who enjoy the farm to table experience of fresh, hearty food. We were fortunate to meet Teresa (a member of the owner family, who patiently worked with our English and acted as interpreter) who was very accommodating in helping us select foods and feel at home. Our various food choices over a lunch dinner included soup, salad, a charcuterie plate of hand crafted meats salamis, antipasto, and dessert. All were fresh,delicious and excellent--but not crafted for a foodie . Owner/parents were on-site, gracious, and working to make this a memorable experience. Easy parking and access from Avio, Sabbionara or highway. A great experience was visiting at lunchtime and seeing all the local residents socializing, ordering lots of food, and visiting with the staff and owners. A memorable part of our Northern Italy adventure!

Really family run local and Silvio is the capostipite, offers excellent products mainly own or local.

Very close to Avio Castle, we ate very well. Right quantity, well prepared foods and good quality. Very honest prices. Very kind and attentive staff. Clean and well organized premises.
