L'Épicerie - Avignon

We stopped here for lunch, I had the beef and my partner had the lamb. Both really tasty. Perhaps a little heavy/much for a very hot summers day, but very delicious! The only place we were going afterwards was to sleep. The chips weren’t great, cold and a bit stale but that’s the only downside. The wine was nice, the service was good.

Very nice restaurant at the Place Saint Pierre. Very friendly staff and great food. The Plat du Jour was simple and yet tasty. Sitting outside was great.

Dining in a charming outdoor square dominated by a 14th century basilica, this is a treat to be long remembered. The restaurant does not offer a huge menu, but everything we tried was very tasty and artistically presented fuel for body and soul both. The service was good. This part of Avignon is a spiderweb of narrow twisting streets and alleys, making this not particularly easy to find. Keep at it – the walk will be worth it. Highly recommended.

My cabaillard with a cream sauce was delicate and tasty, a very nice fish dish. The black rice was a unique (and good) accompaniment. My wife and friends had chicken, also with a tasty, darker sauce, Service outside in a pleasant square was good. The menu was a bit limited and metal chairs not very comfortable. Making a reservation by email was helpful.

The service wasn't great and the chicken was very dry. The entree of courgette over goat cheese was excellent, though. Location is beautiful. But food was a little disappointing.
