Our host poured his a kir, and then brought bread, a pate, small pitcher of wine and several salads (one with grated carrots and another with couscous). We hadn't even ordered yet! We were given a choice of three plats and so the three of us ordered all three to share. They arrived piping hot at the table--they reminded me of what meat dish I might get in someone's home. One negative was that these meat dishes were very salty. A choice of puddings finished the meal along with coffee. A most interesting conversation followed which led to lasting memories. Price for prix fixe was very reasonable and we left without being able to finish our meals. One could expect here a very traditional meal.
