Aba - Austin

Great food, great drinks, great portions! We expected the small plates to be *small* and were pleasantly surprised to find out they're very generous with their servings! The only downside to this was filling up on hummus and Brussels sprouts, but I'll definitely be back.

Excellent food and drink choices. The noise level at times is quite high. The tables are quite close together and there is not much space , even for the staff, to move around. There is always a wait time, so the staff is probably encouraged to provide quick service. Sometimes this feels annoying, as even before one is halfway through the appetizers they bring out the main entree.

The choices all sounded amazing to the point we had trouble choosing... our server helped with recommendations and with sequencing the food delivery. Each item was special and delicious we ordered whipped feta (apparently a fan favorite), the crispy short rib hummus, brussel sprouts, and crab cakes. More than we needed but fun to have multiple small dishes along the evening to choose amongst. Brought home the leftovers and can't wait to dig in!

Food and service were both great. Music was on an inane repetitive loop and was unpleasantly loud. Lamb/beef kebab was good but dry, all other dishes were great. A beautiful restaurant, we will return!

We love coming to Aba for special occasions, so I was looking forward to come here for my birthday! The hostesses were super nice and the ambiance was amazing per usual. Our waitress was okay, but was came off short and condescending as times, especially to my dad who's not used to dining out and needed some assistance with understanding the menu. She also didn't check on us very often through our dining experience. The food was amazing but the portions were on the smaller side so we left a bit hungry. I was also disappointed that a birthday dessert was not offered as I've had in the past. I love coming here, but definitely a miss this time.
