We went to Boston Pizza with the kids to take them out for their New Years Eve meal. The server was good. He seemed to know his way around the menu and was able to patiently take orders from two adults and three kids. However,...the meal we ordered had a mistake, which we caught on to before we started eating, however, the server came back with a message from the kitchen telling us that we were wrong about our meal (we were told that the spinach in the pizza we ordered was hidden under the cheese). Thus, we went ahead and ate it anyway. About 1/4 of the way through, neither I nor my partner had encountered a single piece of spinach, so, turned out we had been correct in saying it was missing, but, at this point, with three kids, we wanted to finish the meal and get to the celebrations for New Years. At the end of the meal, no apology was offered. When I restated our concern about the order being wrong, the server took it to the manager. He came back and told us that it would be adjusted on the bill. We got 10% off (in actuality, $6) but that did not improve the customer experience. I probably would have preferred the apology to the money. Customer experience will always draw people back in, not the bill. One weird thing was that the parking for this location is not immediately obvious. You park inside the lot behind the building for BP and there's no spots really near the entrance to the building. Since it was raining, that made for a long slog into the restaurant. The food was all right; pizza was fresh and tasted good, the kids enjoyed their meals, and the service wasn't bad. Just more expensive than I'd expect for some items.
I’ve read the pretty large number of negative reviews, but would make two comments about that. First, it’s actually hard for a pizza restaurant to gain high marks because there’s not a great deal of variation in the core product, so other factors need also...to be considered; second, I can only speak as I find. There were 8 of us. The service was prompt and friendly. It was quite a noisy atmosphere, so you had to raise your voice. All the food was good and not everyone had pizza, so we had some variety. Served hot, and tasty. Drinks were well chilled. The bill was higher than we expected, however. So, there was little to put us off, and it was a convenient and enjoyable experience. Ample free parking. Overall, a “good” rating!
I always enjoy BP. Service was professional and quick. I wish they would bring back the dry ribs appetizer. Food was delicious and good sized portions. The pasta was really good. There was lots of parking but it is a 2 minute walk to the
We eat at BP’s often on our travels. This one was : Gross. Dirty. Smelly and the lounge area where we ate was FULL of fruit flies and it wasn’t hard to see why…everything was sticky and filthy. Walls, booths, tables. Waitress was VERY slow and was nowhere to be found and we sat needing drink refills for 25 minutes and there was only like 6 other people in whole place with us. Very poor example of the BP franchise.
