Best pumpernickel, German wurst sandwich (German Louie) I?ve had in a long time. Bread was flavorful and just the right softness. Meat was delicious. It?s true that beat sandwich in Augusta sign there. Also the German potato salad was fabulous. Best people inside too. Super friendly and helpful. Neat old grocers establishment.

For as long as these people have been operating their restaurant in Augusta, they still put forth a lot of effort and care about what they do. The interior of the place has a cozy, hometown feel but let's be honest, the building could be in better shape. To that end, they've been redoing and renovating little by little to make sure the business can keep running. Great little sandwich shop. They were out of a few things when we arrived at 12:30 which was a surprise but the smoked turkey with melted Swiss and thousands island dressing was very good. Nice menu (when everything's available).
