Bidrage med feedback10 years ago we stayed at the Jakoberhof. It was a lovely old place with a lot of character and the friendly owner couldn’t be more helpful. Now it has been modernized and is bland and functional. The unfriendly receptionist demanded payment for the room...before she was willing to check us in. The room we got was on a busy street and very noisy. Despite the warm weather we could not keep the window open. To get to the room, you have to climb a narrow staircase, not ideal with a lot of luggage. Apart from that, the room was clean and well set up and the bathroom good. The 7 Euro breakfast was exactly what you paid for (don’t expect too much). So if you are looking for a budget hotel in the centre of Augsburg you might consider the Jakoberhof. Just make sure you ask for a quiet room.
We were in an annexe, not the main hotel building. The stairs and corridor leading to the bedroom were rather unattractive, but fortunately the room was a bit better. Its one redeeming feature was the very comfortable bed, but the paintwork and woodwork had seen...better days. The bathroom too was dowdy, with a chipped bath and no proper shower. Overall, a disappointment.
This was an unexpected find just a short walk away from absolutely everything. We went to see the Fugger Museum this hotel was 1 block away from it. We were in the heart of the city, walking to the Rathaus Platz several other...Museums. If one is driving, the hotel has parking is easy to find off the highway. The food was lavish all sorts of choice beautifully offered. The price of the hotel was surprisingly reasonable almost on the cheap side for such accommodation. We were impressed would definitely recommend go back!
We were housed in an annex, not in the main building of the hotel. the stairs and the corridor to the bedroom were rather unattractive, but for the luck the room was a little better. his only advantage was the very comfortable bed, but the paint and the woodwork had already seen better days. also the bathroom had come down, with a bathed bath and without proper shower.
