Soul Thai - Auckland

I have worked here and everything on the menu contains animal products of any kind, even those on the vegetarian/vegan menu. The agitators and noodles contain oyster sauce and the curries have fish sauce. The owner knows this and is intentionally ok with the sale of these products under the ceiling of them vegan.

I usually order takeaways from this place and there are also delivery services if you don't want to pick it up, including with some ridesharing type delivery services. They offer a decent selection of vegetarian options that are quite tasteful and not excessively sweet, as some Thai restaurants in NZ tend to.

We loved the food here. Delicious red curry. Papaya salad was very good. Busy but food was served fast. Would recommend and will keep coming back.

I absolutely love dining at independently owned restaurants because they tend to have the most delicious food, and this one did not disappoint. I have tried a lot of Thai food in my time, and I must say that this little gem serves the best pad thai I have ever had. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the service is top-notch, and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced. It truly doesn't get any better than this.

Great little takeaway in the Grey Lynn shops. Good, fast and very reasonable. Pad Thai is the best I have tasted. The taste and aroma was off the charts! Definately give this place a try if you are in the area.
