Bidrage med feedbackIt's probably the best bakery I've come across. I especially like the fudge and chocolate chip cookies. And the apple pie. And the frangipani tart. And the quiches. And the Christmas mince pies were awesome. Also the Guinness and steak pie... Oh my word.
Best cookies in town!! She also makes the most amazing custard slice thingy's although you have to eat them same day! The apple pie is amazing and not to even mention the delicious ice creams!! Best baker in town!!
We are regulars at this bakery. It is not a coffee shop, do not expect fancy seating and waiters. If you do want deliciously baked cakes, pies, biscuits etc then this is the place. I am not an expert on flour and cannot elaborate on some negative reviews about that. Personally I don't even care about it as the taste is in the pudding and the quality undeniable. Definitely the best fruit mince pies I have EVER had. Perfect pastry, generous filling...absolutely delicious!!! We love the fudge, cookies and rustic apple pie (to mention a few... . I am delighted that they also offer savoury pies. We have tried the beef and Guinness pies as well as the sausage rolls. They are truly the best pies in my opinion. The filling is to the brim, delicious and the pastry spot on. Heavenly. The products are not cheap but well worth it. The bakery is always busy regardless of the location and that speaks for itself.
Amazing hidden gem .. Cheryl is an amazing baker ... must try brownies and shortbread amongst other amazing goodies. Her milk tart is to die for. Love the Mille feuille.... eat it immediately..
I just love this bakery, since discovering it I completely ignore all other bakeries because I know that they will not compare. Everything you eat is delicious and nothing disappoints, well worth the prices because you know that you are getting the freshest, best quality, natural ingredients! No artificial ingredients or pre mixes are used. I have had a number of chats with the owner and she is passionate about quality and flavor. I cannot eat cheesecake, carrot cake, lemon meringue, quiche or bread anywhere else because it 's never as good. My partner and I stock up on cookies to make sure we are able to have 'a cookie a day to keep the doctor away '. I am disappointed to read some of the reviews though, this is not a sit down restaurant it 's a bakery, while you can order what they have on the shelf and sit down outside to eat it with a hot beverage there are no waiters, just helpful accommodating staff that look after you. Stone ground flour cannot be used for everything, for some baked goods normal flour is better and not everything has flour in it as well so all the products won 't necessarily have the 'advertised ' product in it. From my experience there is no false advertising in this store, the items spoken about are displays to add to the decor and ambiance, no harm in that. For a taste sensation and mouth thrilling experience visit this bakery!
