Fort Greene - Auckland Central

The coffee and croissants at this restaurant are exceptional! We tried the chocolate and almond croissants, and they are truly the best I've had in Auckland. However, the service was lacking. The server appeared to be distracted and overwhelmed with how busy it was. It would be beneficial to have more staff on hand to assist.

Fort Greene is a cozy restaurant with a timber interior that we loved. We enjoyed freshly made cinnamon cruffin and almond croissant with perfectly brewed Peoples coffee. The cabinet range of food was delicious, we loved every bite. We even went back for their epic sandwiches before posting this review.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. The menu is simple but full of flavor. I particularly enjoy the sourdough bread. Watching the Baker shape the loaf is impressive. The taste is spot on, and their croissant is probably the best in Auckland, even compared to the top bakeries like Amano. The coffee is good and the hot cross bun is better than Ima Cuisine. The only downside is that the woman serving us at the cash register could be friendlier and warmer. Other than that, no complaints.

The BEST almond croissants that I’ve ever had and they’re even way better than the ones that I had in whole France. So crispy, buttery and flakey with amazing doughiness!! The vege sandwich was tasty as well. First bite kinda lacked flavour but after you tasted the filling inside it’s lit. Highly recommended this lovely cafe and it will definitely be my regular spot for brunch: btw their sourdoughs were heaven!!

We planned to try almond croissants @fortgreenenz but they all sold out when I arrived around 12pm) But that’s fine, I was still so happy about my plain croissant
