Worst place I’ve had food in malta since I got here 6 months ago. Breakfast muffin had 1 slice of tiny bacon on it and a piece of egg.. and the scones come with whipped cream instead of clotted cream. Really unhappy and disappointed with the food I got. Jalies has a new system in place where the client has to go to the cashier and pay in full before receiving one's food and beverages order. The place looks rundown and unkempt which is a shame as in the past it was a top restaurant in the Attard area. You see employees smoking outside of the restaurant, employees taking out the rubbish in black bags in full view of the guests to the skips located next to the outdoor dining tables. There also seems to be an urgency for guests to pay and leave after 21.30. Hot beverages cannot be ordered after this time. Waiting staff start dismantling the outside tables. According to the menu food and beverages services are till 23.00. One feels unwelcome after 22.00. Other restaurants are glad to accept our patronage, Jalies sadly does not.
