Bidrage med feedbackABBQ in Atlantic Beach was a Grand Slam Home Run for lunch today. Determined to spoil myself and take advantage of my day off I crossed the ditch and headed to this local smokehouse based on recommendations from friends. I knew I was going to overdo it,but I planned to take home plenty of leftovers. I arrived around 2 PM and there was plenty of parking alongside the restaurant. And more available in the back. From the parking lot you can see their open seating in the back picnic style with plenty ofcovered space and access to the bar as well as several large flatscreen televisions. The music must?ve been on the Bonnie Bluestation as it was playing some great classical Southern rock as well as some contemporary hits like Nathaniel Ratliff the BlackCrowes and Jack Johnson?all great acts in my opinion?? ???? Dylan (General Manager) greeted me at the door and I asked to sitoutside close to the sun and the shade as I was not sure if it would be too chilly. Unfortunately when the wind picked up Ifound it a little too cold so I asked to move inside. My server Emily greeted me promptly with a caddy full of sauces and amenu. She was very pleasant and seemed very happy to be at work which I think is a huge plus when dining out. She sat down andexplained in detail each of the four special sauces in the Caddy and listened to what I was interested in the menu and madeadditional recommendations all of which turned out to be huge hits. ?I asked if she could spin me up a **** Mary and she saidsure no problem which was handled by Bradley the bartender???. Bradley was a handsome bearded fellow who, it turns out, is aguitarist and plays with a local act called Bonnie Blue who is friends with the friends that recommended I try this restaurant.? I skipped the appetizer because I wanted to try some of their main course dishes so I selected two entrées: The first wasthe ?THE 1513? sandwich?sliced brisket, pulled pork, homemade sausage, coleslaw, pickles, tangy BBQ sauc
Super tasty appetizers. Great happy hour menu. And very dog friendly outdoor area. Mark, the manager, treated my pup to a bone!
The best brisket I ever had. service was friendly, timely and professional. the whole food was wonderful and the cocktails were delicious. they have deviled eier, Pimento cheese, brisket, drawn black, smoked truthahn, cole Slav, mac and cheese, potato caserole and ripen. the pommes were the crispyst I ever had and had a great season. the ribs fell from the bone. everything was great and I was too crowded to run.
The photos of what I got was night and day. I loved the fries. the ribs were in order, the mac and the cheese were coarse, the 4 sauces do not taste well or supplement the ribs. the piece sizes for the price were not worth it. the customer service was decent, I had to find my own seats, but my waiter was nice and answered all my asking that she could. because of the price and taste of eating I don't see myself coming back here unless I need something pommes. the bar was full and restaurant empty, so this is probably a good place to drink.
So yummy!! Everything was great; we loved the inside and outside atmosphere.
