Bidrage med feedbackCamille was a great server. We play every Monday from about 5:30 p.m. I had the sausage and spinach Calzoni and my husband had the Cuban panni. All I had here was great.
Love this place. I'm new to the neighborhood and this was one of the first places I visited and I will keep coming back. The pizza is great but I can't say enough about the garlic bread! The focaccia practically melts in your mouth.
It’s possible we just ordered the wrong thing, but we were thoroughly unimpressed. The service was great but the food was woefully bland. The bolognese sauce was lacking in flavor and overly meaty. The fried chicken was juicy but also just lacking quality flavor. Nothing stood out.
The pizza tasted good but they forgot one of the topping. They did offered to make a new one. My company was already eating his pizza and I didn't want him have to wait while my was being done before we could go.
2 Stars. 5 of us for dinner. Dinner time--7pm. No rush (we were one of only three tables during our entire visit. Prices are reasonable as our bill was just under $120 with a standard tip. We ordered a variety of eats from salads to pasta, fries, and sandwiches. Fries were great. The third order of fries was the best as it was clearly fresh from the fryer and they were crispy and scrumptious...a tad on the salty side, but I thought they were pretty great! I ordered the Cameli Cubano Panini Sandwich described as follows: Genoa salami, capicola ham, Havarti cheese, yellow mustard, and pickles on our rosemary focaccia. It was not pressed (not a panini and had about as much meat and cheese as a 6th grader 's Lunchables kit. This wasn 't even a distant cousin to anything recognizable as a Cubano or a panini. If you like eating stale focaccia with French 's yellow mustard, it might be your jam. I 've included a picture of an actual Cubano Panni sandwich in this review to compare it with what I got. It is titled Not Cameli 's . Menu items came out at different times for our party which made digging in while food was still hot a little awkward. The side that came with my sandwich (an upcharge was forgotten and I had to ask for it later. I ordered a Diet Coke which I consumed pretty quick with the delicious fries ... But never got asked for, or received a refill--the next visit from the server was the bill. So I left pretty thirsty. It seems like this place does pretty good for ordering pizza by the slice, but I wouldn 't recommend going for a group of more than 2 people (again, we were 5 folks . I 'd also shy away from anything that is not pizza--especially leave the World Famous Panni Sandwiches alone because if they are indeed famous , it 's for all the wrong reasons.
