George's Lowcountry Table - Athens

My man and I are at home last Sunday. the food was delicious! we've been there before, but it was a fact that they were still in their former location. the new building is spacious inside and has a beautiful terrace, but the atmosphere is somewhat sterile/saving. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my man had eier benedikt, and we were both very satisfied with the aromen, presentation and service.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Athens area. They have amazing food. The best food They always make seating for you or have low wait times. A 4 or 5 star paying restaurant. Must try in Athens at least once. We will be there tonight again for my wife's Bday dinner.

So good. We met a friend for dinner, expecting the typical low country boil, and boy were we surprised! A classy joint with amazing selections and a Louisiana feel to it. Don't miss the fried green tomatoes. Don't miss the fried okra and pimento. In fact, try everything! It's all good. (I won't try everything; sadly, crawfish is just not my thing! I had the crabcakes. And I had the bread pudding. Oh, my. And now I'm working on replicating the delicious libations, especially the Porch Swing!

Had a very nice brunch at George’s. Not pictured were the fried green tomatoes which were very good. I had the crawfish étouffée which was simply amazing. My girlfriend had the chicken fried chicken, scrambled eggs, and mashed potatoes. Love George’s brunch menu!

Threw a dart at the map and this place came up. We ordered fried green tomatoes, crab bisque, seafood jambalaya, and the pimento cheese burger. Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was really nice, and service was good. We did have a 25 minute lull between salads and entrées, but that gave us some much needed talk time. We would definitely go back.
