We and another 2 couples we 're American, they 're Italian were wandering the streets and museums of Asti and discovered this crowded, little hole in the wall restaurant. It was raining so we squeezed inside to be greeted by the super friendly staff who were quick to rearrange customers to seat us all together. And nobody minded. The menu items were 'American ' style in name only. Italians know food, and the cooks in this restaurant know how to make American food 1 million times better than you 'll ever find it in the US. Hamburgers and pastrami sandwiches never tasted so good. If you 're in Asti and looking for a great lunch, find this plate. The owner might even give you pieces of their incredible cheese cake to try as he did with us.
