Su Casa Mexican - ASPEN

They provide chips and salsa as part of the meal, which arrived promptly. The chips were quite good—not too hard or overly salty—but the salsa tasted a bit like tomato paste and could definitely use improvement. Feeling a bit disappointed with the salsa, we decided to order the queso verde to enjoy with the chips. It was decent but not extraordinary. Would I order it again? Probably not. Our food came out surprisingly fast after we placed our order. I got the big lunch burrito with chicken, rice, and black beans, served with a side of green salsa. It was tasty and met my craving for something healthy. Meanwhile, the couple next to us, who arrived about five minutes after us, received their fajitas in no time, which showed how efficient the kitchen was. However, our drinks could have been replenished more quickly. We went through half our meal before asking for refills, which was a bit disappointing considering the restaurant wasn’t busy. I did express my wish for a drink refill as we ate. For dessert, we ordered sopapillas, which were more like fried chips served with ice cream and caramel sauce. They were quite enjoyable. After paying, we left the restaurant. Would I come back? Perhaps, but I think there's room for improvement.

A few days ago, we stopped by for a meal and found a cozy table for two in the corner. We ordered a couple of margaritas and our lunch. The Mexican dish was excellent, filled with fresh vegetables and flavorful ingredients. My partner had the shrimp and loved it. The drinks were very good and not watered down at all. We will definitely return when we’re back in Aspen.
