Stable Cafe - Asheville

Delicious food as always and wonderful service. Loved the man who checked us in and chatted up the kids' activity book. He even followed up as we left to see if they had solved the one “tough” letter scramble. Our server was friendly and always made sure we had plenty of Diet Coke and water. Restaurant is always efficient and we love to always make it a part of our Biltmore visits. We had Scott for our server today and JC twice in July. Both were awesome.

The food seems to have gone downhill. The burger that I was served was burnt and barely edible. The worst burger I have had in years. It appears that they are more worried about pushing people through than serving quality food. We also had the hush puppies as an appetizer and these tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. Not impressed.

We go to Biltmore restaurants frequently being Pass holders. Our visit to the Stable was, as always very nice. It was my husbands 65th birthday, which I had noted on the reservation, and they seated us in a corner stall for 2. The appetizer, entree and dessert were all wonderful. The noise level can get loud, but you are eating in an old stable with mostly tile walls and floors-which we feel adds to the ambience. We look forward to going again soon.

There are so many great places in the Asheville area, but this was one of our best dining experiences in our entire trip to Asheville. The quality and taste of the food was exquisite. The ambiance and atmosphere was spectacular. The experience created a very euphoric feeling for us. Many smiles and OMG's.

Food was just ok. Kale was too large: not massaged or cut small. Watermelon/ tomato soup was not good. Checken leg was tasty. Made reservation for 2, but they moved us up when we got there at 12:45. Server was nice!
