Chestnut - Asheville

Overall a very good restaurant some dishes better than others. Service was very good. The food choices were not really my style or taste. I would recommend.

Chestnut is my favorite restaurant in Asheville. Staff is wonderful, ambience is great for anything between a romantic meal and a company dinner. They have a nice bar area. Portions are moderate (don't expect a trough of food like you get at a chain restaurant) , but I will take quality over quantity any day. For the quality you get, the prices are fairly moderate and worth it. Probably only costs about $30 more than dinner for 2 at Olive Garden. The menu changes regularly. Make SURE to save room for their desserts. The souffle is divine! I walk out of their feeling satisfied every time.

The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. Love that they serve house made charcuterie. Great place for a date or late night bite. Will definitely return.

Wonderful service, attention to detail, superb food. The charcuterie plate is a must have all the tastes of Asheville!!

Food was outstanding but service left something to be desired waitress clearly wanted us out of there (I guess 845 is last reservation? and we felt very rushed and as if we were an inconvenience... kitchen had mystery 'problems with the souflee pans ' (aka didn 't feel like making any more despite us ordering as our main came out . Brought our dessert out before we even finished taking a breath after finishing main course. (Again, clearly wanted us gone Worth going for the outstanding food, just don 't be the last reservation...
