La Escondidita Mexican Kitchen

Finally found a place here in Asheboro that serves authentic home style dishes. It is pricier than others but I rather pay for something good than eat mediocre food for less. Will return! :

Found this place on google maps while driving through. So glad we stopped. This is not chain mexican food, this is real home made and authentic. The ladies waiting tables were so nice and walked me through a menu I wasn't expecting. She helped our group choose food that was DELICIOUS. It's all made to order. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

What a delight it was to eat here! The waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and authentic. I ordered a tiny puffy tostada (garnacha , vegetarian, and it was only $2.50 because I had no meat. I could certainly have eaten three of them. I got a side order of plantains, which were served with grated cheese and a white creamy garnish (crema, I guess? , and they were delicious! This place will get a lot of business from me in the future, now that I have discovered it. I only wish they had fish tacos, but I'm not complaining! There was plenty more tasty things to try! Five stars for sure.
