Bidrage med feedbackThey served my GF and I raw steak. We sent it back. Instead of cooking us a new steak, they cooked the raw one into leather and re-served it. We sent it back a second time. They offered no form of a refund. Never coming back. In all fairness, its really a place to order a hamburger, fries which are amazing) and cocktails very good). But I do think it's overrated. Fantastic dinner, from start to finish! Treat yourself to a meal at this French brasserie for date night, which will make you feel like you’re in Paris. Complete with live music! Have been here a few times and the food has been consistently delicious and perfectly prepared. Recommend the fromage and charcuterie boards, as well as the oysters and French onion soup to start. We had the Porterhouse for 2 — perfection! We didn’t have any cocktails, but they looked amazing and the bar seemed so pleasant and inviting. The wine list was great — something for everyone. Wish I could leave a review about the food, however the customer service is so poor that I didn 't even get that far. Here 's what happened: On August 14th I went to the website to find information about planning my sister 's birthday dinner. The website instructs to send an email for larger parties. At the time we were a party of 12. I sent an email requesting a table for 12 at 6 o 'clock for August 26th. The next day I receive a response from the hospitality leader stating that there wasn 't a 6 o 'clock available but there was a 5 o 'clock opening that required a deposit and a contract for a party of 12. Attached to the email was a link to their prix fixe menu for large parties. I immediately respond that we would take the 5:00 seating with our choice of the desired prix fixe menu. I ask the hospitality leader to please contact me so that we can proceed with a deposit. I leave my phone number. And I wait. After no response by August 18th, I call the restaurant and I leave a detailed message for the hospitality leader explaining the reason for the call. No return phone call or email. Finally today, August 20th I call again. I leave another message and I follow up with another email. Several hours later, the hospitality leader responds by telling me that because I didn 't send her a deposit she gave the 5:00 seating away. I responded that I had no idea how to make a deposit because I never heard back. She writes back claiming she sent me a contract built just for me. I tell her to go through our email chain and she would see that she only sent me the menu. I 'm patiently waiting for oh you 're right, I neglected to follow up on your request but to no avail. She just keeps putting it back on me and now can only offer a 4:00 seating which will not work for our party, which is now a party of 15. I tell her how disappointed I am over this especially because she is refusing to take responsibility for her mistake. I 'm literally feuding via email with this hospitality leader just stunned by how rude she is to me. Finally, I 'm begging for her to go through the email chain to see clear as day she messed up! Instead she accuses me of never actually calling and leaving a message for her and then says that she hopes my experience elsewhere is one that I deserve! (See below the actual email from the Hospitality Leader. Needless to say I will never step foot in this restaurant. All the hospitality leader had to do was own up to her mistake to make amends. Instead she just apologizes that I failed to make a deposit on a contract that was never sent to me. If this is who I have to deal with before even stepping foot in the restaurant then I can 't even imagine how terrible the service is. And according to reviews the food is underwhelming.
We had a nice anniversary dinner at Pascal Sabine. Appetizers were excellent, but the main courses weren't as great. Oysters, beef tartare and foie gras were excellent and perfectly prepared. The scallops main was good, but way too salty (and this is coming from someone who eats a ton of salt and almost always has to add salt to dishes). The duck main had breast that was flawlessly prepared and confit which was too dry. It also came with some sausage pieces, which were just plan bad. Service started out as being exceptional and super attentive. However, as the restaurant filled up, it became much less so and our server was hard to find or get his attention. We ordered the last glass of wine and that tool almost 15 min to be brought. Also, the restaurant is located in a really bad area, so we were concerned leaving our car on the street and walking back to the car after dinner. We went into the restaurant expecting an average but good experience, but we were knocked out by the FOOD! I had a what I expected to be a standard cucumber side salad, but the sauce it was in made it something special. I followed it with a duck's breast cassoulet, which had something else in it which made it truly remarkable. The dessert was a chocolate pot du creme with a layer of salted caramel. Each dish had something I'd never had before, all were delicious. Warning: fairly expensive. We will be going back the next time we're anywhere near Asbury Park!
