I’ve never ordered fried fish before as it reminds me of the awful soggy stuff we used to get at school (a memory which has lasted decades! . But today I ordered cod chips and it was GORGEOUS. Tender, moist fish with thin, crispy batter and the BEST chips. I’m definitely a convert! Thanks Simon Team

We were sat in the pub beer garden opposite and noticed they didn't mind you bringing the fish and chips across. Lovely washed down with a pint.

The worst fish chips we’ve ever had. Chips were soggy disgusting, my husband cod was so small, more batter than fish. Not sure how they can serve food like this

I live between Whitby and Redcar so have plenty of good Fish and Chip shops nearby. It’s no exaggeration to say Trawlers matches them all and I’m tempted to say is better than my favourites back home. The fish was well cooked, great batter, chips just crispy perfect. Great value for money too. Proper old school chippy!
