While the food remains delicious and varied, the service was awful. We were there on a Friday night at 7:30 pm, it wasn't at capacity, and there appeared to be just a couple of servers. Ours didn't seem to realize that by the time she brought the extra bread we'd already eaten all of the cheese we'd been waiting to put on the bread. Water glasses went empty, the second round of drinks took forever, and yet everything seemed copacetic. It took about 10 minutes to get our check, after we asked for it (and our plates had already been cleared so it was obvious we were done), and then we had to wait longer to get it processed. No clue what's up, but there are to many other places to get good cheese and charcuterie boards to deal with poor service.
Everything was just ok. Service was pleasant but slow. Food was tasty but not special. Disappointed that kids menu did not include a typical cheddar grilled cheese. Young kids are more used to this taste than other special cheeses. Definitely not a special occasion place.
Easter brunch with 4 adults and 3 boys under 7. Great menu, lots of choices and we all got something different to eat and everyone raved. Mimosa bucket great fun. **** Mary’s nice and spicy and the place is crazy kid friendly with special cups, a stockpile of games, crayons and coloring placemats. Service attentive and lovely. Shrimp and grits fabulous! I truly wanted to buy some cheese, but was so completely stuffed that the thought of doing any type of taste was too much! I’ll be back! Thank you!
Initial approach was poor we had a reservation, were on time...and they weren't ready. Covering by asking if we would sit on the patio would have been okay if it weren't in the 50's out there. The food itself was very good. Asking for something different (like bacon on a sandwich) never made it to the kitchen. Our server kindly offered to remove the upcharge from the check when asked about the omission...halfway through the meal when she finally checked on us. All in all, this has all of the bones that could be a good restaurant, but they have a LOT of growth to get through first. I hope they make it. The gritcakes were dry and tasteless and needed salt and pepper which were not on the table. They also needed cheese a surprisingly glaring omission at a restaurant focused on cheese.
