Darcy Mcgees - Arklow

Beautiful food served in Darcy Mcgees and the service is superb,we had steak sandwich which was delicious and nachos so so tasty. Such a relaxed atmosphere looking out over the Avoca river whilst dining on the beautiful decking area. The people who work here are superb in catering to peoples needs could not praise them enough, Sarah, Catherine and Reece thank you, will definitely be back.

I recently visited here for a Hen Party, Reece was the name of the barman that my friend was dealing with from the start. We were due to go in February but unfortunately we could not attend due to covid, changing the date was not an issue. They reserved a lovely table for us in the bar and we had organised finger food for the Saturday night. We visited on the Friday for drinks as we were too late for food. Saturday we had the best night, the food was fab, music was great and the cocktails were flowing. we danced the night away even got the bar staff and locals out on the floor : To your staff, Reece, Gerry, John and Catherine (I think that's all that were there they all deserve a pay rise as they went above and beyond for the hens. I think I can speak for the group we had a great weekend and will be back to Darcy's in the future. The Wexford Hens

We have eaten and had drinks here on many occasions and were always treated with respect and the food and drinks were superb, however today we arrived were directed to our table. We ordered a pint of carlsberg and a pint of smithwicks. While waiting for our drinks we ordered our food and were looking forward to a nice evening. Aaaaagh both pints arrived and we tasted them,they were both rotten, we brought this to the attention of the waitress who had just taken our food order,the bar man who knew me asked if we wanted something else or try a different glass,I asked was there another smithwicks tap and was informed no. Just then I assume the head waitress informed us that there was nothing wrong with the drinks as other customers had been drinking both brands and there were no complaints. Sorry but will never cross your door again. We up and left.

We went in here with friends for food and a drink. The food was fabulous. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Catherine, Louise and all the lads really looked after everyone. They went above and beyond to make everyone welcome. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Myself, my sister and our friend had dinner here recently and had such a fantastic meal! We all ordered the special of the day which was the smoked stack burger. To say the burger was out of this world would be an understatement!! The chef John is fantastic and really knows his stuff, it was literally the best meal I have ever had. All three of us said we would love that burger to be on the menu and we hope some day it will be. If you ever pop in for dinner here, ask the servers do they have the smoked stack on as a special! If they don’t you won’t be stuck because overall the food is amazing here. They have a really good variety and they cater for everyone and the staff are so lovely and helpful with anything you need. Can’t recommend enough!
