Enoteca Burattoni - ARGENTA

This new Enoteca has been built in rustic style next to an old winery, still in production. Outside there are barrels with stools under parasols, whilst inside wooden tables and chairs. We went with our daughter and her family, and the little girls were made very welcome in an un fussy way. We had a large platter of 6 different meats including prosciutto crudo, mortadella, salami, salsiccia (Italian sausage), and a delicious ciccioli (a kind of pork brawn like my father used to make in the '50s) and 2 cheeses, and a similarly large platter of a selection of bruschette, including mushroom and truffle, gorgonzola and walnut, mozzarella and tomato, and grana and prosciutto crudo. All delicious! The food came with a basket of warm piadini and grissini too. With a bottle of excellent Monepulciano Rosso, and some aqua frizzante, a feast fit for a king! Excellent food, drink and ambience, and all for €57 for 5 of us!
