Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful café / restaurant opposite the church. Really pleasant buzz and happy mix of holidaymakers and locals enjoy the atmosphere on a warm weekday evening. Good menu and menu you Jour on Blackboard outside. We were impressed by the vegetarian offer for our daughter....Layers of freshly cooked vegetables in a bun instead of the usual burgers on offer. We had avoided the restaurant so far because a typical Veggi-Burger seems to offer the only one. There could be more options, but at least this was original. The food was fresh and abundant. There were no sufficient seats outside, but we were offered to move outwards after a clear table. A little too warm inside. Have fun.
We came here in a Saturday when the market was up and after buying a few articles that we had facing our brunch with a view of the church. A coffee. A wine. Chantilly wafer. Life was good. Half of the joy was that people were sitting around us and passing. The staff did not speak much English, but they were very helpful. Location is excellent and dog friendly natural it is France. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.
We often drop in here to meet friends for a drink or lunch or now supper. The staff are quick and friendly. The good thing is that they now serve light evening meals i.e dish of the day or salads, omelette chips, at very...reasonable prices. However, the one thing not so good is they now have tables set at lunch time for meals only. On many occasions we have sat for drinks, met friends and decided to stay for lunch. Now we cannot do this as at lunchtime on a few occassions there weren't any seats for us, although there were quite a few empty seats set for lunch only. As there were usually at least eight of us, and we all usually have more than one drink, we feel the owner has cut off his nose to spite himself. On a couple of occassions we just walked on and ate and drank else where.
We stopped there as many others did for brunch on market day. Good coffee. Service was slow on busy market day but that did not seem to matter to anyone there. Great pastries, very fresh. English breakfast was adequate but who would dare order an...English breakfast here!! Overall, very pleasant.
One of the best English Breakfasts I 've had is at a French cafe right across from the church in Argeles-sur-mer centreville. The outdoor seating is the ideal spot for people watching on Wed and Sat marche days. As the weather warms up, there are more...vendors, more people, and more dogs trying to dodge feet and knees. Laurent and his crew provide prompt service, and we 're more likely than not to see several of our friends during breakfast or lunch or even a short sit for espresso or mochachino. Free WiFi too.
