Bidrage med feedbackWe had dinner at the annexe restaurant of our hotel. A wonderful entourage and delicious food. The only thing which was less convenient for us, was how easy we were welcomed with our two young kids. Of course such a fine restaurant is not the ideal place for 1 3 years old kids. But since the hotel is supposed to be family friendly, we would have liked a bit more flexibility and service towards our needs (warm milk for the baby, 2nd baby chair,... than only drawing paper and a big box with colour pens. Anyway, we also understand it's not the first thing such a fine restaurant should be responsible for.
We stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night and had dinner at the restaurant. There are no other alternatives in the village by the way. Make sure to reserve a table when you check in and if you want to sit outside, mention that as well. We were early and got a table on the terrass but two other guests who arrived a little later than us were rudely told that they should have reserved a terrace table on arrival so if they wanted to eat there they would have to sit inside (how would you know one can think? . The place seems to be favored by the locals, it was very busy and it was evident that local patrons received better service than the tourists. Several menus to choose from, reasonably priced, and the one we had was fine although nothing spectacular. The wine list was long and the wines ridiculously expensive. Because of the general attitued and the pricing policy, we will probably choose a different hotel should we need to spend a night in this vicinity again.
My wife and I were travelling through Germany, Switzerland and France on holiday with a couple of friends. We were looking for somewhere to have lunch, and just wanted a light meal, or baguette. We saw a road-side sign for this place and decided to give it a try. When we walked in, we asked whether we could have a light lunch, and the owner/manager just said Non! . He went on to say that his restaurant was for formal dining. That 's fine and we understood, but he treated us with real contempt. We are not riffraff. We are all retired professionals, not at all unfamiliar with fine dining, and we accept that this restaurant was not set up for providing snacks. That is all he needed to say. However, his manner was arrogant and offensive. When my wife asked if there was anywhere nearby where we could get a light lunch, he just said Try Paris and then turned his back on her and walked away. No need for that.
Nice accommodation, nice staff, good food, but for a 0.4 litre Warsteiner to €7,50, then a bit cheeky: But very easy to get a nice parking for the motorcycles:
Excellent service, delicious meals, hearty and beautifully presented! Great parking and free Wi-Fi very appreciated. I emphasize the kindness of the servers.
