Istanbul Previas - Arequipa

My friend and I craved falafels real bad and decided to pop in and give it a try. As a middle-eastern I have had enough falafel in my life to recognize the good, the bad and the ugly. These falafels seem like they came out...of a box (not made in the place) and had no texture and flavour. The veggies were blend as well. It wasn't great and definitely doesn't worth 16s. The only nice thing about the place (which is why I give it 3 stars) is the server was really nice and it seemed clean.

Good atmosphere, cozy and well decorated place to eat or have drinks Good Turkish food as well as French style crepes.

Stopped here for a late dinner with friends and was incredibly disappointed. There was only one server, one cook, and one bartender, which I admit was part of the problem, and maybe not their fault. Unfortunately the server was not trying very hard and the...food was terrible. The server had to come back and confirm our order multiple times (she didn't write anything down) and we also had to inquire about missing items. Mojitos that were ordered first were delivered about 1 hour later, after multiple inquiries, and after our food. And they didn't even taste good. I had the falafel sandwich with roasted veggies and it was probably the worst I have ever had. The falafel was dry and flavourless and the sandwich had no sauce. No aji or anything was provided for the table, so we inquired and were given a garlic sauce which was also mediocre. The rest of the food at the table was equally disappointing. Hummus, which was ordered as an appetizer, was brought last, again after multiple inquiries. It was soooooo bland. Tasted like chickpeas blended with the liquid from the can. I managed to amp up the flavour by adding salt, pepper, olive oil, and garlic sauce. However, after a couple bites, we discovered a piece of plastic wrap in the dip. We informed the staff and, again, after a reminder, had the dish taken off the bill. Worst food I had in Arequipa along with terrible service. Don't visit unless you have no other options!!

If you are looking for Mediterranean food with a full flavour of the Turkish cuisine, don't bother. We order two special dishes and humus. The two special dishes were plain and nothing special.
