Golden Bowl - Ardmore

Golden bowl is a good solid cantonese fur. nothing spicy (also the szechuan or the thai, but that is not what you come here for. they come for peking duck and dim sum and pork noodle soup. service is efficient and care and the prices are very reasonable (lunch is a steal. that reminds me of the old school places they find in san francisco or ny chinatown. 2022 and still the best peking duck outside chinatown (and better so many).

The food is always fresh, and the customer service is outstanding. The staff welcomes you warmly and provides excellent recommendations. The wings are absolutely delicious, and everything is reasonably priced! I definitely need to be mindful of my budget for myself and my family at some point.

The dishes I usually order include shrimp, fried rice, and hot and sour soup. Their shrimp fried rice is better than many other Chinese restaurants I've tried, as you can actually taste the shrimp. The General Tso's chicken is also quite good, made with real white meat. On my most recent visit, I decided to try something new and ordered the chow fun with duck for the first time. I typically enjoy their beef chow fun, which is delicious, but I was disappointed this time. The skin of the duck was too tough to chew, and the fat made the dish overwhelmingly greasy. While most of their menu items are decent, I think I'll avoid the chow fun with duck next time.

Golden Bowl is indeed a gem. After the challenges of Covid, dining in has returned and is better than ever. The food is fresh, flavorful, and simply delicious, ready to delight your taste buds. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether you're there for lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong. My wife and I regularly visit and always leave satisfied.
