Bidrage med feedbackThe town of Arcevia is a bit of a culinary desert. There is Pinochio which ranges from indifferent to plain bad and that 's about it. We stumbled on this place, not sure that it was a restaurant. The food turned out to be excellent and reasonable. The interior tables are quite nice but the outdoor terrace is tops.
We have eaten now and then in Posta but only now it has become one of our favorites of the nearby restaurants. The thing is that the food, although based on the food tradition here, has always an exciting delicious twist. During this summer the menu has had only few choices (due to the exceptional circumstances of corona) but all of them delicious. The selection of antipasti and pasta is excellent. A big thank belongs also to a good waitress that is Mariarosa. A good reference may also be the fact that the local vigili del fuoco (firemen) seem to have chosen this place for their regular dining place. The old building has been carefully renovated and there is a beautiful view to the hills above. The garden is big and they even have some horses and other animals.
We had lunch on the terrace. It was just great. Both the atmosphere, service as well as the food. There is a fenced area and a lot of animals the kids can play.
This in my opinion is one of the best restaurants around Arcevia, the food is simply superb, local wine good, and if you do speak Italian the owners are great fun. However make sure you are very hungry, because you wouldn,t want to leave any, if you do just ask to take it home and the owners are only to happy to oblige.
A beautifully restored old post house where you eat very well from abundant platters of traditional local cuisine. All their salamis are wonderful, as are their pastas and grilled meats. Generally you get a list of the day's specials and you settle in for a feast. In warm weather you can sit outside on the terrace. For kids there is actually a petting zoo with farm animals next door. At night you can just see the lights of Arcevia twinkling in the distance. Run by a charming couple who speak English too!
