Bidrage med feedbackThis was my first time eating Shanghainese food, and was really happy with the experience. All of the dishes were extremely flavorful! The presentation, textures and colors of each dish was amazing.Food: 5/5
Food was delicious. If you want to try Shanghainese dishes, a good place to go. Price is a bite high compares with other similar restaurants.Food: 5/5
It was a 30-minute wait for a table for 2. Bring a bigger crowd and you'll get better attention. Then after sitting down, it took another person to swing by and take our order, followed by 30 minutes to bring one dish out, and the other was forgotten. So we had to wait another 20 for the second one. Longest lunch of my life!People were beautiful, well-dressed, they were nice. But that was ridiculously slow. The food was decent, but not worth the price or the wait. Granted, the prices aren't that much different from most other Shanghai restaurants. At least this one we got a seat though.Parking: Behind the building.
Our experience here was a bit out of the ordinary and perhaps elevated above what a typical diner would enjoy, as it was a private party in a separate room, with a pre-set banquet menu. Presentation and plating were top notch and fitting of a fine dining establishment. It felt like classic Chinese cuisine reinterpreted with a more modern aesthetic. I wasn't blown away by the flavors, and perhaps that was simply because the dishes were not ones we would typically order and were catered towards the palate of a more senior generation. My favorite dishes were the poached chicken, Beijing duck, vegetable rice, and lobster. I typically love whole steamed fish but I found this particular variety to have far too many tiny needle like bones which were hard to pick out and avoid chewing.
I visited here for a banquet meal and didn't personally order any of the dishes. The ambiance is slightly more fancy than casual and there is ample parking on site. The service was commendable and I felt the party was well attended by the wait staff. We were situated in a private dining space that was sufficiently isolated from the regular diners that it felt like we were the only ones there despite the regular dining room being completely full. The banquet meal itself was exquisite, with beautifully presented dishes with generous portions. The flavors were all top-notch and you can't go wrong with any of the dishes we enjoyed. This is a good place to consider for your next banquet, or just to enjoy some unique Shanghai dishes with friends.
