On the expensive side, but the best one of the only choices if you're looking for mochi ball donuts (not the regular ones made with a mold). Stopped by here a few months ago to grab some mochi donuts for my parents they enjoyed it but thought it was a bit too sweet. Parking was easy, staff were efficient and helpful. TIP: go earlier in the day if you can. Not only are the donuts fresher, but they tend to sell out of certain flavors as the day goes on.
Great place for me to get my fix for something sweet when I'm in the area! You can only buy 3 minimum (which is honestly kind of silly to me) but they have an array of flavors of the week to try out, which makes the ordeal almost justifiable. They only usually have 6 different flavors at a time, so their menu in the back with all of their possible flavors is a bit bit misleading and should be ignored. I wasn't initally a fan of mochi doughnuts since my first experience with them when they were popular in Japan. I didn't like how much I needed to chew and how dense and oily they could be! But after a few more years, Mochinut has been able to achieve a mildly sweet mochi doughnut that feels light with a good amount of chew to it! I've been here 3 times and have tried: Churro, Hokkaido Milk tea, Strawberry Latte, Black Sugar, Original, Milk and Honey, and honestly they've all been tasty! As other yelpers will point out, the parking lot is small so getting a spot in the lot would be quite lucky! You can always park across the street in the other plaza or the next plaza over and walk over. Overall, great to have this additional dessert option in the Arcadia area, and will be back whenever I got that chewy sweet tooth craving!
This is my favorite donut shop in Arcadia! They always have a variety of flavors and they change it daily. I always get a box for my friends and family when I visit them!
Mochinuts are Asian parent approved (aka sweet, but not too sweet). I had had mochi donuts in Asia back in the early 2000s and was rather underwhelmed. They used to be chewy, soggy, and relatively bland. Fast forwarding 20 years these have gotten much better! The donut is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The frosting doesn't overpower the donut as some others do (I'm looking at you Krispy Kreme). They have a massive menu of various tasty looking flavors. It is very important to know that they put their flavors on rotation. Not everything on the menu will be available. Haven't tried their hot dogs yet... but maybe one day. This 3.5 star donut is a nice treat.
