Maki Sushi - Arcadia

Maki Sushi is a cozy spot with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The sushi and sashimi are fresh and delicious. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of a `welcome` dish for visitors. It's a great place to enjoy quality Japanese food in a relaxed setting.

BEWARE! We went here this evening, it was 4 adults and a 11 month old baby. Service was slow and when they brought the check they said an 18% gratuity was added because we had 5 people. (this was not mentioned when we were seated) I was like what? We had four people and a baby. The baby ate nothing. Are you kidding me? I guess they don’t like families coming in. RIDICULOUS POLICY!!!!! I personally will never eat there again.

I can't quite explain why, but when I'm visiting family in the San Gabriel valley, we come here. It's somewhat out of tradition at this point, but also because the selection of sashimi, nigiri, and rolls are plentiful. Our latest find: the Escolar sashimi a delicate touch of their special sauce compliments the fish very well.

Good quality, fresh, and soft sashimi! Salmon carpaccio is a must try. Such unique combination and added more depth to the flavor. Absolutely love it!
