Hirsinger Chocolatier - Arbois

With such a greta reputation in all the guides we thought this a must for gifts treats. The range of chocolates was very poor they seemed to concentrate on patisserie. We bought some nougat which was very nice, and a small selection of...pralines (only 4 kinds available) as it was so expensive. However the chocolates were very disappointing I'd go so far as to say very poor. Praline filling was grainy, and the actual chocolate nondescript. Such waste of money and so glad we didn't didn't but as gifts.

I was on a boys’ weekend for some wine tasting and thought I’d bring back something for the wife she might actually enjoy. Little did I know that I’d bring back some of the best chocolates I’ve literally every had in my life. And I’ve...had quite a bit from quite a few renowned French mchocolatiers. But this was just so impressive. Thought I’d come back to Arbois for the wine, but I think I’ll be back for the chocolate…

Passed by for a quick coffee, tired and hungry after a day drive exploring the region. Were amazed with the experience. Excellent quality Peruvian coffee complimented with Peruvian chocolate. Pâté was a marvel, worth a whole meal. Make sure you stop by when you are...passing through town and you’ll have pleasant memories. This place is in existence since 1900 and will not close any time soon.
