The Southern Deli - Apopka

My first time enjoying Southern Deli was a great experience. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crispy. Loved the homefries seasoning. Fantastic iced tea. Great southern comfort food, with homemade taste. I want to go back and try the meatloaf. Customers at table next to us were enjoying delicious Mimosas, etc. Parking: No trouble finding a place to park.

Smaller place, unbelievable service, and fantastic breakfast and lunch items. I'd say just as good as momma fixed it, but my dear momma was no cook. So SD is better. Some differences when the cooks change, which is unfortunate as best cheese grits ever one one of the cooks is there Try it and you too will be hooked. Service: Take out

Recently stopped by this spot with my girlfriend and we loved this spot. She was able to utilize her Yelp event towards an amazing meal , but I had to pay my own way, but it was well worth it ! Parking lot had plenty of spaces and located in a plaza so they had lots of areas to leave your car. Really enjoyed this hidden gem out in apopka. Well worth the drive, service was great and the recommendations were perfect. I had the two faced which is bbq chicken and a mixture of sweetness and cornbread. Delicious and paired with their homemade sweet tea and lemonade. It was amazing and would love to come back to experience more of their tasty homemade dishes.

For the southern charm that the decor staff boasts, unfortunately the food fell short. I tried: Honey Chic Stack Alfredo Gouda Mac-N-Cheese Deviled eggs Strawberry Lemonade (delicious refreshing) The biggest disappointments of the meal were definitely the gouda Mac-n-cheese the deviled eggs. The Mac cheese was giving Chef Boyardee. In other words, soupy and no cheese. And the deviled eggs lacked flavor. Simply couldn't finish them. However, the biscuits in the Honey stack were soft and the chicken was slightly crunchy. Overall, I don't plan to return (maybe for just the lemonade)

I came here for one of the September yelp events and I was really impressed with the service and quality of the food. It looks locally owned and it was such a nice place to dine at. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The drinks were great! We had strawberry lemonade and sweet tea. The food was really tasty and if it weren't for the location (30 minutes away from my home) I could see myself coming back often. I would highly recommend. If I find myself in the area I would surely come back.
