Ricky's Apollo Beach

I've been to Ricky's at least four times now. I meet a group of friends here on Thursday nights. I've tried the Chicken Caesar Salad and the dressing has the right balance of saltiness from the anchovies and tartness from the citrus and the grilled chicken adds another element to make it an overall winner. I think this was a one time incident due to new kitchen staff, but the first time I ordered this dish, I was given horseradish sauce rather than Caesar dressing, which caused me to wait for another order to be made. Last night, I had the Cajun pasta with Gulf Shrimp and it did not disappoint! Perhaps too much rotini on my plate, but the creamy sauce with grated Parmesan had a ligjtbconsistency and very good flavor. The six grilled Gulf Shrimp were huge and was a treat to my palate. The only thing I have done differently was to butter the French bread slices before grilling them. Other than that, this dish was a winner!

Tonight I came in because some friends of mine wanted to escape the crowds of another spot down the road and figured we could order a bite to eat and have some drinks. Upon entering the bar it was only a few folks maybe 6-7 sitting at the bar. Two cooks and two bar/wait staff working and a few minutes past 9pm. I sat right at the bar, the bartender (redhead w ponytail) other employee(blonde ponytail) never tried to make eye contact, greet me, or acknowledge my presence. I really should've left at this point. However some of my friends had already started eating and had drinks on open tabs so I stayed a bit longer waiting. At some point a vodka cranberry got placed in front of me, which wasn't might order as no one had actually taken a drink order still. Then three other people walked in and magically they got drink orders taken literally right next to me. Meanwhile I got my menu I've been trying to get my order in what's happening?? These three new people were able to order a drink for me when I've been sitting there since I was skipped again. Then the round of drinks came, I end up with a warm beer and decided to switch for water at this point while I wait for my food. I don't even want to write this review, but because this is the worst service /food not to mention that I only ordered 2 burgers and people that came in after me ordered food wings and chicken tenders, burgers had gotten their food before I did. I changed my order to-go; because it was 1 hour later by the time I finally got my food. I then get home and find out that my burgers were both under cooked, and the salad dressing was spoiled. I have no intention of coming back here for food, events, or drinks ever. There is nothing that can be said to excuse any of this behavior with the number of people working on a Wednesday evening. To the number in the bar at the time.

Been there several times. Other times were great, but this time was jorrible Walked into a nearly empty restaurant at about 5 PM, maybe 10 people. 1 table of family 6 and the others at bar. We ordered a water, soda, appetizer and 2 sandwiches which we asked to come at same time. The waitress brought the drinks, yet she wasn't sure if it was water or soda (yes it was dark and glasses where red, but really? . We waited and waited for 30 min. Watched the table family have issues with their meal. Waitress did refill my water but that"s all. Eventually, she apologized and said that she forgot to put in the order for one the sandwiches but she could bring what was made now and bring the other as soon as it was done.. No thank you. Who knows how long that would have been. We ended up paying for the soda and left. Very disappointing...

I was looking for a local spot with something yummy for lunch and decided to peruse Yelp. I came across Ricky's in Apollo beach which isn't to far and somewhere I never tried. It is situated in a shopping center. When I walked in it was VERY dark and unfortunately I was the only one wearing a mask. However, I got my order to go and was VERY pleased! The club sandwich was monstrous and very delicious! The fries were perfectly cooked (very important) and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken club (so much so that I couldn't get a pic before he devoured half of it). I would definitely return and recommend!

The atmosphere was great for the family for lunch. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. And the food was delicious. The NACHOS were delicious.
