Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I were looking for a quick lunch between trains. Wanting to get a bit further out of the typical tourist spots, we stumbled upon Bite Me! The service was lovely (the ladies were very kind and translated the whole menu for us when she noticed us pull out Google to translate) and the food and coffee was DELICIOUS. Good portions, fair price.
I don't know why everyone always goes to the other barnini.. this one is as good as the other
Bite Me by Barnini is another offspring, spawned from Barnini. Like Barnini it's a casual brunch place, with a slightly feminine feel to it. Ideal to have a quick lunch or to hang out on their (often) sunny patio. Everything here is, in a way, delightful. Bite Me serves bagels, sandwiches and the likes, but also a wide variety of soda's, coffees and cakes. As it is located near some schools, lunch hours can get pretty busy, but early in the day and during afternoons you can partake in the nice buzz that is Antwerp.
We stumbled upon this cozy little restaurant as our original target (along with many others in the area) were all closed for All Saint's Day. There were plenty of options on their brunch menu we opted for their smoothie bowl, and bacon, avocado egg bagel. Both were very delicious and generously portioned, although I struggled to locate my eggs when my order first arrived! (They were hidden in the avocado). Great bonus: watching the bustling local market just across the street! The menu is in Dutch only, although the waiter very kindly translated it for us!
Went there for breakfast with my son, who lives in the theater neighbourhood. I loved the bagles and orange juice, but most importantly the very charming and friendly service.
