Les Cimes - Annecy

The restaurant offers a set menu with several choices for starters, entrees and desserts. My son ordered the a cod fish for entree. As soon as it arrived and he had a single bite, he said it tasted bitter. My wife and i both tasted it, and the fish was clearly spoiled. We called the waiter and asked him to return the dish and replace it. He took it and said he would talk to the chef. After a few minutes he came back saying that chef says the fish is fresh , but you are welcome to order another dish. We did and it took some time to get it. But the comment made by the chef was simply unacceptable. Making such a comment insinuates that we had some other reason to return the dish to the kitchen i.e. we are dishonest. To really nail this down lady at the table next to us ordered the same dish, and also could not eat it. The waiter was also not super patient, or kind. In summary, an overall poor experience, even though the dishes we did eat were actually quite good. The chef should take the starter course on how to handle a dish returned to the kitchen: regardless of what you may think (not that I can see how he could think that the fish was not spoiled) you should apologize and offer a new dish. I would also argue that if a dish was served with spoiled food, the restaurant should also not charge for the replacement dish, but that is probably way above the service level currently offered at Les Cimes.

I never thought that this 'entrée ' will be the best lentilles ever, super good!!!! I 'll definitely come back!

We took 3 dinners: Very nice team. Good atmosphere. Good food. Regarding breakfast (18€/pers), I am a little disappointed because the fruit salad was not made with fresh fruit. The cakes, hammered etc are industrial. On the other hand, there are for all tastes, sweet, eggs, cold meat, salmon, cheese etc.. Your raspberry jam is excellent. Thank you.

We had a good time. The restaurant is clear and there is a good atmosphere. The kitchen is very good. Ideal for families.

We ate well and the service was a little too long, the servers/ses were very nice the price was a little too expensive for the quantity
